In South Africa, many students pass their matriculation (Grade 12) each year. However, not all of them qualify to study at a university, leaving some matriculants excluded from the higher education system.
This gap leads to students not pursuing further studies. At THE SCA GLOBAL, we are bridging this gap by accepting these students, enabling them to study for full qualifications and receive skills development. Our qualifications are fully accredited, and we provide learners with workplace experience before they graduate, significantly increasing their chances of finding sustainable employment. Education is a basic human right that helps lift individuals out of poverty. The support our students receive ensures they enter the institution on an equal footing with their peers who have had the privilege of enrolling and accessing universities.
Most of our students come from quantile 1 and 2 areas (rural areas). This investment marks the beginning of a new era for these students. With your support, THE SCA GLOBAL can continue the legacy of building well-rounded students who are destined to be leaders in their chosen fields of study or careers.
We provide practical readiness training through our employer partners to prepare our students for job interviews, understand workplace and labour standard policies, and financial literacy, and gain work exposure while studying. This training can be customised to include other skills deemed essential by the funder to prepare students for the workplace. Kindly partner with us to make a change in our future leaders and allow them to study. Partner with us by making any kind of donation.
The Skills Development Element (Code 300) of the BEE Codes of Good Practice, effective from 1 December 2019, allows businesses to contribute to skills development for bursaries for black students. This target includes all external training expenditures for black employees as well as unemployed black persons.
Bursaries, as per the skills development matrix provided in the amended scorecard, include expenditure on institution-based theoretical training at accredited training providers registered with the Department of Basic Education or the Department of Higher Education, resulting in the achievement of a degree, diploma, or certificate.
We are delighted to extend an invitation to private organizations, individuals, and foundations to partner with The SCA Global in our mission to provide educational opportunities to deserving students. At THE SCA GLOBAL, we believe that education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for social and economic transformation.
